    2010 Sho 225

Hey guys just wanting opinions on running this motor more at lower rpm than wot. I been to more lake that I’m unfamiliar with so trying to take it somewhat easy. I’ve heard they need to be ran just wondering what others think and I’d appreciate some feedback.

    Thanks!

Should be fine however if you do a lot of idling I would check the oil on a regular basis.

Make sure all service is up to date and that the thermostats are working correctly. Keep in mind these engines share identical powerheads with the 4.2 offshore outboards.... I see the offshore engines with thousands of hours and little to no run time at all at WOT.

Ok Thanks, sounds encouraging. This is my first 4 stroke and it’s definitely a new beast to me. So the oil checking process is a little different and I’m assuming critical to get an accurate reading
