Pleasant in Deerfield

I went there late this morning and struggled mightily. That place has the deepest grass I've pulled up (35' at least), with plenty of bait balls near the 18'-35' drops I was working. Also found a few stony areas around the 20' mark, with and without grass. Worked things over with the C-rig and Ned rig. My question for the guys that fish it well in the summer, what did I do wrong?

Fished it in July and managed 3 small keepers. Two on the spook and one on a flick shake.
