That darn itch.....Z520C Questions

There is nothing wrong with my current rig but I'm getting the itch for something newer.....preferably a 19 or 20 Z520C with the Merc 4 stroke. I've been doing some light snooping and I know they all have basically the same equipment but there a few differences like single vs. dual console. I would want a dual. I've never had power poles and, for my style of fishing, I really don't think I'd use them that much. That, and I don't want a slower holeshot as a result of something I really don't want in the first place. I guess for those w/520C's, have you noticed a holeshot difference/all around performance impact by having power poles?

The other thing is I need the center seat and not the coin box but it seems they all come with the coin box.

Have any of you had the poles removed by the dealer and received a credit for them? What about the center seat?

My boat is mint with ~180 hours on it but we all know how that new boat itch can be....

I bought mine used, 2 months old. The original buyer ordered the boat with the power poles not installed and then worked out a credit deal with the dealer. It was Dixie Marine.

I just ordered/received a 2020 model with the center seat option rather than the coin box. Do the build on the website and you can see all the options.

I plugged the holes in the prop and mine comes out like a rocket even with power poles. Got prop blueprinted by Croxton and hit 74.1 @5940 so far. Still trying to tweak trim and jackplate settings for optimal speed.

I upgraded from Z21/250 2S and the new 4S mid range power is amazing. Mean sounding at idle and is as advertised. You won't regret upgrading.

Does anyone know if the coin box is bolted in on a 2019 boat or is it part of the glass seat base? Curious how much of a job it is to swap them.

Haven’t seen where it’s bolted on if that’s the case, I’ll look tomorrow.

Thanks for checking. What motor, prop and options (poles. Ultrex, etc) are running? Those are great numbers....very impressove!

I'm likely going to sit tight for now. I found a boat I'm interested in but we're too far apart on price for me to move forward. The deal is pretty good but not good enough for me to jump.
Maybe next year.....
