What am I seeing here?

Obviously this looks like fish to me. I am no expert and really am still learning my electronics. I can find spots like this frequently, and have a really hard time catching anything. I am assuming this is the wrong kind of fish I am seeing.

Yeah I'm not sure what's up with that. I get crazy readings on the map view, it was in June with a good bit of current in the shade. I believe the side image is a large group of gar. Im not sure though. The two down images were from Friday. Again I couldn't buy a bite. Just asking for some help.

What in particular about the shape? You gotta give me a bone. Im still learning this. I feel like I'm on the cusp of "getting" it as I am pretty comfortable with the settings but have trouble interpreting the images of fish.

ok, well those shadows look like a shorter fatter type fish so that would rule out gar.

are there asian carp in that water?

Ok that makes sense. Side image is below chickamauga dam a ways. I hope it's not Asian carp. Could be carp or drum maybe? Not sure if they school up or not. I think I have the si screenshot on my helix. May have a better image quality.

On map view it's your heading in degrees and not temp.

Maybe zoom in on one of the better shadows to see a better image. Is it possible the SI photo was taken on a different day? 18 degree temp difference is a big swing....LOL
