Is that analog tach it smartcraft gauge? 300 rpm down isnt too far off. 21p 4 blade is. Alot to turn. A jack plate would help so you. Ohld run higher with the set ack but idk if youre willing to do that.

It is by my vessel view. The boat handled very good so I think I will be happy with the 19p. I don't want to install a jack plate now but I might later. Thanks

Good luck with your 19 pitch, I think you'll be pleased with it. With mine it will rev to 6300 (analog tach) under best trim and load but has never hit the rev limiter.

Thanks, I am sure it will be fine. I might need to throttle back a little when I am fishing by myself but that will be ok. I really like the stroke. It is super quiet compared to my old optimax and it seems to have good power. I will post the results when I get the new prop.

Tried the 19p and all I have to say is thank you to all who recommended it. Top speeed is 48 mph with only me and a full tank of fuel and loaded with more tackle than I need to carry. I think the boat may run the same speed with my buddy with me. What pvs plugs do you all run? The boat handles wonderfully. I am really happy with the prop.

Glad you got it running to your liking. Its too bad they dont make the x7 prop in a 20p thats the only pitch missing always thought it was odd it went from 19 to 21. A 20p would work very well on this size and hp rigs guys that on the limiter with a 19 but ougginf a 21. 20 would still keep holeshot good and give good top speed.

It’s the right mounting position if no JP. And the X7. Is really hard to beat out of the box. No torque steering, think of it as 4x4 for your boat.
The X7 will give you great handling on your boat. The X7 likes to run higher that's why the engine should be mounted in the third hole. The squirreliness is caused by prop slip (cavitation). There is a prop slip calculator on mercury's website which is handy and will tell you how much slip you have. The X7 reduced my prop slip to less than 4% where my 20P Laser 2 had 17%. Made a huge difference and my squirreliness disappeared.

Solid Plugs on the X7. Four blades don’t really benefit from venting the prop.

How do you guys think that 21p that XMP is selling might run on my 2011 190tx with a 115 optimax?

Will the dealer raise the motor to the third hole and does it void warranty?
