    Now I know why I got a 300XS!!

Went for a little fishing trip today, had to make a run to get to one of my spots, hit 91.3 on the way down river, 87.8 on the way back, not bad for 85 degree water and 90+ degree air temp

I think it is because you can cruise at 70 while the 300 is sipping fuel at lower RPMs. I get amazing fuel mileage with a 300 on a XRS.

Just curious. Have you ever calculated your MPG or what does smartcraft say?

I haven't checked mine, I tend to put my foot in it from time to time, especially when I don't have someone else in the boat

I fill up every trip then check my trip mileage on my Lowrance. It allows me to calculate it like a car.
