    Texoma

    I’ll be coming to Texoma for the 1st time next month. What can I expect? Is the lake open to run or is there boat roads? What are some typical fall patterns out there and what areas of the lake should I look at? I’m looking forward to a few days of catching some fish, learning a new lake, and maybe even catching a smallie!

    I haven't been there in about 10 years, and I have only fished from mid-lake to the dam. The "lower" (eastern) portion is all open, so no boat lanes there. The water gets clear the closer you get to the dam. That area would be your best bet for a smallie.

    Its pretty much a deep open lake. You will need a texhoma licence to be on most of the lake.
