    brookville

How is brookville fishing currently? Have wed-friday off next week, know I'm going to maxi on wednesday. Was going to run down to patoka, but saw 465 is under construction with detours on the south east side. So thinking of going to brookville instead. Haven't been there in a very long time.

Joe, for me, Brookville is fishing really tough right now. I was down there Wednesday for 4-5 hours in the morning, didn't get a bite. For some reason on that lake, the best fishing for me is April, May, June up to mid July. Then its tough until late September and October. I know some people are catching fish, there's always someone. But it surely isn't me. The blue/green algae is kind of bad, not as bad as Mississinewa is. I was there yesterday, while at Sherm's.

Friday it was pretty awesome. Saturday it was good. Sunday it sucked. May turn back on again this week.
Can catch from 2” to 25’. Just depends on what you like to do. Not a lot of size on smallmouth right now, but the right areas can get some good numbers.

I was out Sunday for 5 hours. Caught 5 smallies (3 keepers), a walleye, and a catfish.... all on a KVD 1.5 squarebill in <5 fow. Actually a pretty decent day for me on Brookville. Place is tough.
