Lake June this weekend

I have a tournament Sunday in Lake June. Never fished that lake and it is the deepest I've fished so far. Would dropshotting in 20-30' of water be wise? I figured I'd zig zag from coast line out until I found some decent structure with my depth finder. Also what bait would you use? I'm thinking either a dark colored senko wacky rigged or a fluke?

drop shot for sure. and watermelon red works very well.

Not well. Tough fishing. First place was 10 ish with two 3 pounders biggest fish. I tried finding structure in 20-30 feet on the west side of the lake. Saw what “appeared” to be fish on the bottom where little “bumps” showed up thinking it was rock or something but no go. Thanks for asking and your help. I was getting a little bummed to be honest until you replied. This is a forum for boating and fishing. One hardly gets any reply when asking fishing question but you mention something political....

we were across the way at Istokpoga the same day. tough is right. 8.86 won 2.5 big bass.
