IS A 67 LB MOTOR GUIDE ENOUGH

I have a Dura-Craft 1650 crappie boat with a 60 4 stroke on it & it currently has a 47 lb motorguide on it. I came across a 67 lb motor guide from a friend & having a trolling motor shop swap it out. The 47 was just not enough power do you think the 67 will be enough for this boat. Hoping someone with a similar rig could tell me.

Definitely enough power for your boat. I had a 71 lb. Motorguide on a 17' 6" Triton with a 90 hp hanging on the back and never needed more thrust than what it provided.

I had a 70 digital on my RT188 for a couple years till I saved up for an Ultrex. It’s sitting in the garage now, does fantastic on an aluminum boat. I just wanted the spot lock.

I’m running a 55 lb thrust Motor Guide on a 17-1/2 footer. Plenty of power.
