My son came home for a few weeks and wanted ribs. He took my bottle of my home made garam masala, added a couple tbsp of coarse black pepper and brown sugar. Sweet Holy Moly! It was magnificent! Just different take on the BBQ deal. Worked on the ribs, I did a butt with it. Both were great. Did a turkey yesterday but without the sugar (325* might have been too hot for sugar). Oh yeah! It was a winner. i love experimenting with this. I play around with seasonings because we are both on low sodium diets. The store bought salt bottles don’t work.
