    Hitching Post Tournament

Are the regulars on the Missouri Board still fishing this tournament on Mark Twain since the switch from the BudLight sponsored tournament? I think they moved it a week up this year compared to previous years... Hopefully it continues to grow-they seem to have worked out he kinks from the first year fairly well.

Yes, a lot of the same crowd still fishes this tournament, as I do. You are spot on with the folks running the tournament and how they worked out the kinks. It would be nice to see the numbers back up over 100+ boats, but only time will tell if that will happen.

What I remember of the old tournament, it looked like most of the old crew showed up last year when I was there. It is on the same weekend it usually is. They always seemed to have it the 3rd weekend in September. Id also like to see the number back up. I started fishing the BudLight Tournament when there was around 300 boats. I hope they keep improving this tournament. I fished it the first time last year. I heard it was an improvement from the first year, so it looks positive. Ill be there again this year

I was wrong......32 was the number of early entries and we drew boat 30.

Water is at normal pool (606) and clarity was good. Different parts of the lake had different levels of stain. Water temp was upper 70's on main lake. We are supposed to have 90 degree weather all week so it'll warm up a bit. Crappie must have been biting. Every point and bluff wall had 5-6 boats on it.

Where do they hold the weigh in? At Spaulding or back at the Hitchin Post?
