I read what it said and watched the video. Can't help but feel that I would not want this as a structural weld repair.
When welding Aluminum, it better be very clean for a good weld.
Those rods are akin to using solder. Filling holes okay, but not structural use. Better off using JB Weld than those rods.
Exact sort of rods I used to fabricate my graph mount. Heat up the aluminum pieces (a lot of heat) then touch rod to braze. Makes a pretty strong "weld" for what I needed.

HTS 2000 has been around for years
I believe it would work for hull cracks. Or for those wanting to cover old transducer holes.
