Question Thinking about getting a new Chevy Tahoe

Hi guys. Wanted to get your feedback. Does anyone tow their boat with a Tahoe?

I'm thinking about getting one. I have a truck but 80% of my driving is commuting and parking in ramps. I need something more comfortable than my truck.

I'm looking a 2019 Tahoe LTwith the 5.3 and the towing package and the 3.42 gears. I know it can tow my Z119C but will it be a dog? Are the smaller mirrors an issue?

    Thanks!

    1. It will pull it just fine but will have a lot less power than your 6.2
    2. It will not ride better than your half ton pickup.

I am also in the process of deciding on a Yukon or truck when I turn in my 17 Denali
If it has 3.42 it would be max tow(nht) which also has the air leveled rear suspension. The shorter wheelbase will not be as smooth as a truck.

I have a 2018 Sierra 4x4 with the 5.3 and 3.42s. It pulls my boat very well from a power, suspension and stopping perspective. Zero complaints. I have the 8 sp transmission, I assume that would as well. As far as comfort, it is very comfortable as well. If you are referring to the ride quality, then you'll need to get away from something that's not based on a truck chassis if you're looking for a more car-like ride.

I had no problems towing this Phoenix with a 2011, 5.3L and 3.08 gears. In fact I thought it towed great. Mine had electric fans so more power for towing. Towed better than my ol' 5.4L F150.
