    Thumbs Up ** Wear your Kill Switch ~ September 1, 2019 **

Game Wardens were out on our local lake checking. I'm glad this law was finally signed into law after many years of trying

Both depending on the situation. I really don't see a need for it when your unloading the boat off the trailer and pulling right back up to the bank.

Not required for that from what I read.

But I’m with you on the law. Don’t like it. Main reason is there’s a big difference in being thrown out or falling asleep at the helm on a boat with a foot throttle compared to the conventional throttle.

I don’t like the seatbelt law either.

Few other laws I don’t like, but I won’t mention them at this time.

Like I said on your other thread, It didn't occur to me that there were so many people not using their kill switch.

This just may allow me to try out the new life preserver I bought a couple yrs ago @ BPS. They have a mesh section in the shoulder area. I thought I might tend to wear these in the cold weather months as they shouldn't be as bulky over a heavy coat or burr suit. They also shouldn't be as HOT in the Summer months.

I tried one of them self inflate jobs not long after they began selling them at big box stores. Went out to open the storage box it was in on my then Champion boat, and the sucker had blowed itself up!! That was the end of that idea.

I know the standard answer to the HIGH dollar self inflatables is how much is your life worth. So nobody needs to tell me that. Same as nobody needs to tell me to wear my seat belt.

    Choice is a good thing.

Rules are for those that don't have the good sense or imagination to make their own.

I've had them blow the storage lid open on more than one occasion because I forgot to hang them out to dry after a day of fishing in the rain. They're kinda like printers in that recharging them cost nearly as much as buying a new one.
