Well, the Red River has finally come back down to pool stage and cleared up from flooding that started back in Dec./Jan......Last year back in September I took some shots with the UHD system I had on the 93 Plus of the old railroad foundations in the river. Took some with the GT30 yesterday...tried to get the same looks the best I could but it was getting hot.....i did come across another pile that I never come across in the same area. I'll post the comparison pics and the other random pics.
Same foundation, same orientation/direction.....not sure about the GT30 shot as it looks really compressed compared to the GT34 (ducer/black box) I had last year.....may try to redo this pic with the GT30 with a dedicated Downvu screen:
Downvu UHD:
Downvu GT30:
I'm not lined up exactly yesterday as when I did it earlier last year.
Sidevu UHD:
Sidevu GT30:
Pipeline I did not know was there; caught it while I was making a turn and then the second pic is going directly over it:
Another pile I come across by the others I didn't know about:
With the recent high waters and current in this last year, you will find the sandy/silty bottom to look like waves....also if you look on left side just above the mid area of the screen you can see a few white dots that i believe are fish.
Just a 2d/GT30 shot to show the fish on the bottom:
