Dumb question here guys but is there a difference in size between micro and macro guides? I was looking at getting a Kistler Helium 3 from Tackle Warehouse with there current sale but I am not a fan of micro guides and this rod is listed as having macro guides. Are macros bigger? I have a Denali Lithium that has semi micro guides and they are fine. Just curious. Thanks.
I don't know about those rods specifically, but the prefixes "micro" and "macro" mean opposite things. I'd expect the macro guides to be bigger.

The macros are larger than micro guides. Kistlers 5 power rods use a guide size larger than the macro
Here is where the industry as a whole has pretty much gone
Size 6 - Macro (this is what was used as running guides before Micros ever came along)
Size 5 - Mid Micro
Size 3 and 4 - Micro
These sizes denote the size of the guide in millimeters.
