Can anyone give me any info on brands and models of 5th wheel campers that are around 22 feet in length?

I have been looking at 5th wheels now for about a month and dont recall seeing any in that size. 26ft might be the smallest I have seen. That does not mean there aren't smaller I just have not seen any.

Seen that one, one problem with it is that it is not a tandem axle 5th wheel. In my state the second vehicle must be a 5th wheel with a tandem axle.
    Thanks for the reply

I don't think you'll find any new units in that size range. At least I didn't. I searched Craigslist to find mine. I did a quick search today and found a 1995 Salem by Forest River that is 21' so they are out there.

There's a 1993 Scamper and 1999 Jayco Eagle Lite for sale in the Upper Peninsula. Both are 21' tandem axles. Craigslist.

Do a search on Rvtrader.com. Most shorter fifth wheels will be in older units. Should be more options in standard travel trailers.

lazydays.com is a large rv business and their website has a lot of listings.

New units follow the bigger is better philosophy. Good luck.

I'm wanting a new or late model 5th wheel 28-32', the pickings are slim.

I just picked up a 30ft Coachman 5th wheel. Your gonna be hard pressed to find anything much smaller than that. It is a 2014 Coachman Lite 25IKS. Its been perfect for me and the wife and 2 small pups. I just have to engineer a hitch on the back of it to pull the boat too. This is Alabama also, if its rolling they wont really mess with you

I'm probably going to build my own camper on a gooseneck car trailer. Plenty of frame to pull my glass boat strong enough with electric brakes, and a simple light shell with insulation and a couple beds should be easy enough

How do you like the quality of workmanship on your Coachmen? They seem to be one of the few who make several 29-33' models.

So far it has been great. Only had it out a couple of times but so far so good. It is a 2014 so I am hoping that any "bugs" that may have been in it have already been fixed by the previous owner. He did say that he had a couple of leaks fixed a couple of years ago. But I have not found any issues with it. I really like the darker color wood that was used on the cabinets instead of that orange color that a bunch of other brands were using. It pulls great too

If you do build one make a build thread! Very interested because finding a fifth wheel that is short enough to tow the boat behind has not been easy.
