2019 Z19 200 Pro XS 4S. I tried a new 24p 4 blade Bravo FS today. No holes plugged. Usual tour load, by myself 1/2 tank gas. Hole shot hair over 2.5 sec., Full livewell 4sec. Without moving jackplate, (GPS) WOT 63, average speed 61.5 at 5800rpm by the gauge. Moved jackplate up 1/2" and up to 1". Best at 3/4" higher than factory setting. WOT 64.2, average speed 62.5 5900-5950 rpm good water pressure 20-22. Handles a little better, right on the edge to start chine walk. Some chop.
Ran the fury 3 blade 23p and jackplate at factory setting. WOT 68, average 65.5-66 at 5900 rpm chinewalk at 66. 4 sec plane no livewell same chop/conditions. (what it normally does/runs with this fury 3 blade 23p) I have read that the Bravo fs runs light on pitch, and that going from Fury 3 blade to go up in pitch not down.
Looks like a 23p Bravo is what I need? I know going to a 4 blade to expect loss of some top end speed, but 3mph average seems a little much? Searched everywhere and have found no postings about these boats trying a 4 blade.
Don't get me wrong, this boat handles well and nice speed etc. with the Fury 3 blade. Just always been partial to having a 4 blade.
