T1 And T2 Yamaha props
Had a T1 prop but it has a cracked Bore. Would a T2 in the same pitch perform the same.?
-
Depends on the set up. T2’s are made for four strokes and are not vented so it may not perform the same on a two stroke. They are the same except for the vents.
-
Almost identical props are know for being inconsistent out of the box. Send it Mark and let him work it over before you run it.

original Vmax t1 was vented and for the most part hold together better than the SHO t1, which is not vented. The SHO t1 is a better performing prop and was more consistently made, but was very prone to cracking and throwing blades. The t2 replaced the t1 for this reason, but has been not as consistent in performance. With that being said, buyer beware because most SHO t1 that are for sale have been repaired, as they haven' t been made since 2016, and the guys that have original ones with no problems are more than likely not getting ride of them.
