Here is a nice school of spotted bass suspended over a swing in a river arm. Airmar TM150 running at 105khz.

I`ll just re-frame those to a size I can see:
Thanks!
Just click on those images from keoweeskeeter to get them full screen.
Nice!
Pretty cool. Clean images.
I decided to go with an Airmar P79 in-hull, shoot thru, it's not as clean. I haven't had time to spend on the water seeing if I can improve the images with settings and I need to do that, but I'm wondering if it's the shoot-thru and potentially small air pockets or other issues with the hull layup that just happen. I was trying to eliminate anything hanging off the back and in the water when on pad. Envious of the clarity in those pics.

I have noise rejection and surface clarity both set to "high" on my Carbon. I adjust sensitivity based on the water depth and increase it until I can see my lure drop down vertically (a drop shot or spoon for example). If you can see a lure drop down on the screen, then a fish will certainly be visible. I usually have sensitivity anywhere from auto to +4 based on depth. The airmar is extremely sensitive to air bubbles in my opinion and sometimes I seem to fight them all day. I have just gotten to the point where I can look through them/ignore them on the screen and focus on what is a fish or structure.
Thanks, I'll try those settings for a start.

60-80'??? most guys on here dont have that much line on their reels
Notice how they are stacked vertically, a sure indicator they are bass
I have found and caught them as deep as 125 ft on lake shasta in the winter, on spoons when schooled like that in forty degree water
Thank You Leon Pugh
thats awesome keowee!!! MY friend and I fished the St Lawrence the week before my SC Hartwell vacation and we caught most of our SM between 50 and 60'. Sisn't look like that though

Do you typically run it on 105?

Were you moving when these fish were scanned? Or sitting still?
What was your scroll speed set to?
I have been unhappy with my TM150. Sonar looks blotchy at any frequency less than 155. I can't seem to get the right settings for scanning at 3-4mph.

TNReb, looks like that HDS is on the bow which you can see the TM cable behind the unit. On Hartwell my bow graph looks exactly like that when I'm drop shotting sitting still, or barely moving, because those spots never sit still which is why the lines are drawn on the screen like that.

Scrollspeed at normal around 4-5 knots, one step down around 2-3 knots, two steps down if slower. (Activate A-scope as well.)
