    Avid Boats

Any info on Avid Boats that announced in Amory, MS. Faulkner’s have a long history in boat making, just don’t know anything about what they plan to build.

They had a center console in pictures of the announcement.

Press conference said 17-22 ft bass and bay boats. I’m a fan of Sprint boats and aluminum boats so I’m interested in what they have to offer.

    https://www.tradeonlytoday.com/indus...-our-butts-off

The company designed and launched a 21-ft model called the 21 FS, with plans to produce three bay boats and three bass boats, for the saltwater and freshwater markets, over the next 12 months. “I wanted to bring some of my experience with fiberglass over to aluminum,” says Faulkner. “We’re building a boat that might look like fiberglass but is a more affordable product with added value to it.”

Sounds like a great startup with solid plans. Hope they make it

Something to watch. Knew what Vexus would bring you with the Ranger crew. Now lets see if these guys have the legs to stand long term. Would love to see another player get it right with an aluminum bass boat.

That looks like a Vexus clone, even down to the burnt orange paint. Not that that's a bad thing.

Couldn’t quite make out the picture but is that a 115 sho on the back? Seems a little small for a 19ft rig.

Like the way the bay boat sits flat on the water, not bow high.

Looking forward to seeing more info on the bass boats and how they price them.

Since they are very close to me, I am very interested to see how their new introductions progress. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that they have anything in the works that would fit in my garage. I am interested to see where their pricing falls as well. I would anticipate that they will target being slightly below other premium offerings in order to get their product out on the water for people to see. Hope they take their time with new introductions to get them right the first time. There's a lot to that old adage that you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

On that podcast somebody posted on here a few weeks ago of Rick Pierce somebody asked if Bass Cat would start making aluminum boats. He said no. To many builders already and a new one was fixing to start.

    It’s rated for a 150, the XB20 will be rated for a 200

That really is a Vexus clone haha. Even the lettering looks the same. Wonder what the difference will be? Maybe a larger front deck, who knows

They hired some engineering folks away from Vexus so it stands to reason.
