You guys that load and unload alone ?

When you are loading up how do you get from the front of the boat down to the front of trailer ? My Triton trailer has a small platform to step down onto, then I can hook the winch strap to the boat and crank it up. The Bullet trailers do not have that platform, looks like it would be a pain in the rear to step over graphs and trolling motor to get down to the tongue of the trailer. Not sure that I would want to add the trick step or other steps to the trailer, is there a bolt on platform that could be aded to trailer ? Thanks for any tips.

I'm still pretty nimble... I step off over the port side onto the aluminum diamond plate on the front of the trailer by the winch... Dan

I want to do the Allision steps and handle. Getting off is my issue also with the arthritis. Boatmate did offer a step plate just to the side of the bow stop/winch post and I was supposed to get it for an extra $200.00. But it did not get put on my work order, oh well.

I just treat the tongue like a balance beam but you do have to watch the winch. Most of the time I do a single front flip off the bow.

Depending on ramp angle, you still might have to get your feet wet. I carry a pair of water shoes in the truck.

I step on the nose of the boat, scratch the gel coat up and then step on to the trailer tongue. I'm looking to change that technique when I get my next new one.

My trailer has this little step. At first I thought it might not be practical, but it's perfect. Use it getting in and out 100%.

I step from nose to tailgate. My problem is from truck bed to ground.

That is a good idea, I just do not like standing on that pretty glass front end. I also will have a double graph stacked. I do not fish too often by myself so it should work out fine.

    Steps

I have a deep V Crestliner, so ya, it's like Mt. Kilimanjaro getting in and out. So I designed these steps to make it a breeze

Had the same dilemma and finally solved it permanently. Why not add the Trick Steps? They’re pretty awesome. We’re not getting any younger or more nimble btw.

Be really nice if you could load and unload next to a dock all the time, but I only fish one place that has that

I use an Easy-Step on the trailer tongue of my boat. Very safe and easy to use. It also folds back to allow the trailer tongue to swing away.

I learned a lesson the hard way after i forgot to put tailgate up after pulling out. turned to sharp tailgate got into trailer winch, caved in tailgate.
