USA prop advice for 05 yamaha vmax 150 hpdi

I just acquired a 2005 yamaha vmax 150 hpdi and I don't have a prop for it yet. I am believe it is 15 spline and I want to know what prop I should go with. I want something that is an all around good prop that gives me a decent whole shot while maximizing performance and speed. I have no clue what pitch to get or if 3 blade or 4 blade is better. If you have thoughts on what I should go with please tell me which you think is best and why. This will help in my search.
    Thanks a lot.

Is the motor on a 17ft boat or a 22ft boat? Aluminum or Glass? Being used at sea level or 5,000 ft above? Do you weight 130lbs or 500lbs?

Your question will go un answered because you dont give enough info... The more info you offer, The better advice you will get.

A buddy of mine just got a 24P Tempest Plus for his 150 hpdi and he likes it a lot. It's on a '06 Ranger 178 VS .. no jack plate.

It will be on a 92 482v Ranger. I usually fish at elevations around a 1000 ft above sealevel and below.

23P Yamaha Pro Series is probably what came with it, But hard to find a good used one that is un worked/repaired.... 23P Tempest Plus is what I would recommend. You will need a flo torq hub kit for fitment... 835271Q2

You need to tell him a 24 is too much. I tried a 24 and hole shot and motor were lagging, the motor would not spin up to where it needs to be. He will be ALOT happier with a 23 tempest.

Thanks for your help. I will look into the 23p. The guy that putting on the boat thinks its might be a 19p but from what I have been seeing I was seeing 21-22p
