    Hole shot

Hey guys, new to BBC and hoping to find some help. I've got a 2002 290 Super Vee with a Yamaha HPDI 200. Love everything about the boat except it takes forever to get on plane and does not stay on plane under 25 mph. The prop is a 25 pitch. Any recommendations or is this normal?

Is the getting on plane a new problem? My 180prov with a 175 EFI had issues getting on plane once and it was bad spark plugs. If you have good spark plugs, I have no experience with Yamaha, but on mine I would check the PVS plugs in the prop and maybe take them out. As far as being on plane under 25mph, I have never been able to do that. My family hates that I can't go slow in the boat. I just don't think its designed or set up to do that. I have to be going 30 or it will porpoise.
