posting for a friend...
94 efi 150 2.5l engine. died while running on plane, and wold not restart. the owner checked FP and it was 0psi, and replaced the fuel pump with a new OEM pump and now makes 40psi, but engine will only fire up for a couple seconds and die. while idling it smokes horribly.
i have no more info, but looking for any advice on where to look next.
checking FP at idle/when dying is the next step, but looking for any other commmon issues
Have you posted this in the 2.5 forum? you might get some answers in there, and it's not just for high performance motors. Good Luck!
does FP drop and hold after it dies or fall to 0, ^^^^^^^ agree+1

sorry guys i forgot about this, my buddy ended up buying a new boat and this was forgotten
