Gary and I finally got back up to Stockton 8-14

Gary and I had not fished Stockton since April 2nd. We couldn't wait to get there and check it out. We found it to be very fishable. The water temp in the backs of the bays was 90* plus. The main lake was closer to 83/84. Unfortunately, after making about a 5 mile run to our first spot, we stopped to fish and found out our troll batteries were dead. Not to be defeated by such an unfortunate event, we would run the big motor up wind and drift back across the areas we wanted to fish. We had just enough troll battery to steer a little bit. When we took our lunch break we pulled into the marina and charged them for 3 hours hoping to get in on the evening bite. Confident that a 3 hour charge would get us through the rest of the day we headed toward the dam. No go.....batteries still dead. As soon as we got home I checked them with my multimeter and found that they were perminantly dead.....Oh well, we still caught a handful and had a blast....
