    Hard starting merc 115

    Hello,
    Motor is a 1999 Merc 115ELPTO, S/n OG866225
    All new filters,spark plugs.
question: How much fuel should the choke solenoid eject in a specified time, say 15 seconds? Should it be a strong steady stream?
This motor is hard to start when cold or after sitting for a week. once warmed up it starts at the touch of the key. Idle may be a bit rough.
Compression is good at 115,115,112, 115
    Thanks

    Joe54,
Thanks for the tip. Will try it once I have carbs back on motor. Here is another one for you. When I opened the float chamber on #4 carb(lowest one) I found mostly oil and very little gas. very oily mix, i would
guess 80% or more oil. What could cause this?
    Thanks

Ok, but why only one carb getting overoiled? The other three carbs were normal.
