    Help with HDS7 Live setup

I got a HDS7 Live on the front of my boat. I got a HDI transducer. I finally bought a 7 to 9 pin convert cable and connected it to my HDI transducer. I selected the transducer but I get no images on downscan or sonar. I can network to my HDS 12 and get some readings but nothing works on downscan or regular sonar.

I guess my my next step is a hard reset but I forgot how to do that.

Does anyone run run a similar setup ?

is there any way to check without being on the water?

I have a 7 Live with HDI 9 pin on the front and I have no issues. My bud runs a 9 Live with HDI that uses the convert cable and he is always having issues. Every time he does an update I have to do Hard resets and mess with it to get his to run right. I would suggest just buying a 9 pin HDI. You can get them off Amazon for less than $120.

Does anybody know a way to check if the transducer is working without actually putting it in the water? Where do you find a
9 pin HDI? My HDI is 7 pin as I think all of them are.

It still does not work. is there any way to check the HDI transducer without being on the water? I know with a regular transducer you can hear clicking when you get close it it but I hear nothing on the HDI Transducer.

The 2D-element can be felt when pinging. Just hold the transducer in your hand and you will feel the ping from any 2D-transducer.

As for 9-pin HDI Dave is correct. 000-12728-007 is the 9-pin version of 83/200/455/800-HDI.

Yes, I put the 9 pin version of the transducer on it and changed the channel source to 2 and everything worked great...
