    Minn Kota talon help needed

    Have dual 10 ft talons on my boat. One of the talons will partially come down in rough water and spray water. Have to hit the button to get it to come back up. Only have the problem when I hit waves or rough waves, what would cause this?

    Is it just the spike or 2nd stage only or third stage only?

    Not 100% sure since I can’t see it, I’m guessing just the spike otherwise it might would hit bottom if fully deployed, waters I fish are not real deep

    Well if the 2nd or 3rd stage is coming out in rough water then I would look at the safety latch on each stage. May have mud blocking the catch. Best thing to do is lay it down on the deck of the boat and deploy it. Hose the the entire section of the second and third stage. focus on the slots and the safety catch.
    If just the spike is deployed then probably a problem with wrap drum. I would bring in to ASC and get them to look at it.
