A comparison between 13.5" of setback and power poles vs 11.5" of setback and no power poles. Same load, boat, temps, and prop. Different days so not back to back and that will make a difference. Not easy to pull a jackplate and power poles and replace with a hydraulic plate and do back to back testing so this is about as close as I can get. As noted seen in the photo my power poles are folded down.
The poles will go back on. Right now I'm enjoying the performance with them off. Plus I haven't figured out how to mount them yet. It's clear now that they are dragging on the hole shot and costing me some acceleration.
This was the defining moment for the R. It is now running equally as well as the 300XS DBR. All performance testing I have done shows it leading the 300XS DBR now. Still not apples to apples until the poles go back on. More work to be done with that.
