Motorguide XI3 trolling motor

Had this out today with a new remote control. I put a new Duracell AAA battery in it and when I got on the water, the battery light on the base of the trolling motor began to flash. I used the motor for 6 hours and the light flashed all that time. Anyone know thee cause of this?

I just bought one in june. Did the same thing as yours charged batteries to full charge worked for a few hours flashed again. Had a. Weak cell in one batty changed battery works fine also went to biggest group 31

I found a loose battery connection on my batteries. tightened it up now I will see if it charges ok. Thanks for your input.
