    200HP OX66 Water Pressure Numbers

2003-2004 years, new to me boat / motor. Existing WP gauge is dead and I have a new one on the way.
What psi numbers should I be seeing at idle and WOT and anywhere in between?
I tried searching but didn't see the info.

Yamaha specification is for 11 psi or more at wide open throttle.

The reading may be partly due to the gauge. I switch from one gauge manufacturer to another, and am seeing a lower reading that with the previous gauge. I have no clue which one was/is more accurate now. Just another thing to keep in mind, the gauge itself could have an impact on the reading.

Good point! Not all gauges are created equal.

For the guys with 0 pressure at idle, I had the same thing until I changed out the pump housing. I don’t know if the old one was warped or there was a redesign, but after I changed that, I got much better pressure.

Got it out this past weekend. New water pressure gauge, 0 psi at idle but as soon as I give it any throttle, it jumps up. Saw 10-20 psi when running.

mine never showed pressure at idle until I replaced the poppet valve and replaced the T-stats that had minor debris in them.
