Hey guys,
I'm curious to hear if anyone has had paint issues on the lower unit of their new Pro XS engine?? I have used my boat a handful of times (15 Hrs) and the paint on the lower unit is already scratched up and chipping off in one section. For comparison my last optimax had 187 hours on it and the lower unit looked brand new. It looks as though either my lower unit has a poor paint job or the paint used on the new Pro XS is just not durable. Pretty frustrating considering its basically new. I can only imagine how it will look in 2 years... Any thoughts on whether approaching Mercury about this will get me anywhere?
