    Question for Pat Goff

I have a 2010 Triton VT19 (Crestliner) with a 115 Optimax with a X7 4blade 19p prop. Planes great, runs great, trims well, no porposing. Bolted on transom in second hole. Issue is when I trim up, I get a lot of torque on the steering wheel. Is prop running to low or to high.
    Thanks for any input.

That's typically a symptom of too high. BUT....sometimes it's just right.
If you're happy with the boats performance other than the wheel torque, it's a easy fix, just install a skeg mounted torque tab and you'll take nearly all that torque away.

Sometimes it really is that easy. Good luck with it.

Good info, my boat is the same. I will also be purchasing one of those. Do you drill all the way through the keg Pat? Use a through bolt with lock washers and nuts in stainless?
Respect no wake zones, Evinrude guys need a place to race too ;)

I put one on an older Evinrude. I drilled the holes and used the pop-rivets they came with it to install.
