I'd be getting up on the roof to make sure everything up there is still secure and ready for highway travel. It's probably a one piece roof but there will be sealant around everything that protrudes from the roof and you'll want to check for cracks in the sealant and repair them.

While you are picking it up I'm going to assume that you'll be given an orientation on the stove, fridge, A/C, hot water tank, slides, landing gear, awning(s), etc. Another thing to check is the age and condition of the propane tanks. Up here propane tanks are good for 10 years from the date stamped on the tank and after that they need to be inspected before they can be restamped and refilled.

    Enjoy your new RV!

Generators need to be run monthly, not sitting idle.

Motor homes have ASME LP tanks not DOT tanks. ASME tanks are not required to be re-certified since they are permanently mounted.
