    Z-521L / Mercury 300 combo

I confess that I know little about the Mercury 300V8 4S but can we talk about the choice of the standard 300 vs. the 300R.
Would it make sense to put the "R" version on a 521?

I went to the Ranger web site and they do offer (2) versions of the 300, one is standard and the other is DTS which I assume is " Digital by wire" controls. There is no reference to the 300 "R"

Was told the R model would be a dealer request on new order, dealer has to get the engine shipped for rigging at plant.

Wouldn't make sense to get an "R" motor on a ranger. The racing motors shine with a sportsmaster gearcase and the Rangers would need the torque master.

the R with TM-2 case is not bad./ the tuning of the exhaust and the fuel system/ ignition timing will help with a little more pep. Its still a great setup with standard ProXS. And yes seeing the Bullets with SM cases really running great
