one thing I will never understand about my wife -

    - is how such a SMALL person can make such a BIG mess in so little time and with so little effort.
It is not like it is a bad habit, it approaches the level of being an honest to God skill.
It is almost awe inspiring. LOL!

I wonder if your wife is related to mine!

5' 2" and can wreck a house in an hour! She walks in a room and turns on every light, then doesn't turn them off when she leaves the room. Moves this, opens doors and leaves them open... ARGH! Drives me crazy!

The worst thing is, she just refuses to close the toilet lid when she leaves the bathroom...

My wife`s battle ground is the kitchen, she loves to bake and I enjoy everything she makes. I always tell her I will clean up for her when she is done. The only thing I hate is she uses every utensil and bowl we own. I guess it`s worth the work to get the good stuff she makes.

Apparently, you don't have any kids. My daughter is 30 2 foot 6 and can destroy a house in 2.5 seconds.

    I was gonna say...if there’s only 1 thing you don’t understand you’re a lucky man!

My wife is like that with dishes, but I’ll happily clean up when she cooks!

Now my 14 y/o daughter is a freaking tornado! Between her bathroom & bedroom I’m amazed sometimes!

My son turns 4 next week. I've never understood how it takes him an hour to put all his toys away when its time to clean up but he can get them all back out in 15 seconds

Having the grand girls all summer ages 2 and 4 I can totally relate to this. It had been awhile since mine were little so they got me up to speed on the destructive nature of a child, haha.

It's leaving lights on all over the house for my wife and not closing drawers all the way. I quit saying anything about years ago

I have 5 kids (twins that are 16 and 3 of them are girls) and the youngest 5... All are in school now and I drop them off. I clean the house and it takes a while but come 4:30 when they get home.... WOW... I just don't understand why I clean... It is like making the bed... I am going to sleep in it again a few hours later.

My wife appreciates the fact my "practice wife" (aka ex) trained me up very well on cleaning up after myself and not creating a mess everywhere I go.
The irony is that she is in need of that same coaching. And she takes it pretty personal when pointing out that leaving a 12oz can upside down in the bottom of the sink to drain in perpetuity (until I find it, that is) is actually *not* throwing the trash away. Nor is setting an empty package on top of the trash can lid.

Wish I could help. Wish I could understand. Wish I could just box everything that isn't put back away within a determined length of time and put it out with the trash. But I *definitely* know that won't end well, lol

I told mine this morning that if we win the lottery I am putting the cash in the kitchen sink. When she asked why, I said because when I leave, the only thing there is a spoon and cup and when I come back, it has magically filled up with 10x more than I left there.
