Best Ultrex Spare Parts to Carry, ? for the trolling motor experts

    Hey guys,

I've heard of a few horror stories from friends with their Ultrexx TMs where they went on trips far from home and had something break that was easy to replace, but finding the part was the hard part with them either having to drive crazy distances or get parts overnighted.

I have a spare Fortrex which I carry, but figured I would try to pick up a couple spare parts/switches for the Ultrexx if there are some "usual suspects" for things that break on the Ultrexx.

Has anyone had any experience with common parts that break or suggestions on which parts would be good to carry "just in case". I'm headed on a trip in a few weeks where I really want to use the Ultrex and don't want to switch to a Fortrex if something common breaks (which only seems to happen on trips)

    Thanks!!!!

    RL

I was carrying a Fortrex but now I'm carrying another Ultrex.

I've never had an issue with my Ultrex but I keep a few of the black "Locking Bar Latch" thingys in the boat.

A rope and cables. I dont have the room to carry my old Maxxum and not enough scratch to just have a $2500 spare for "just in case"

Can someone please direct me where to find the directions on how to replace these latch bars. I have been searching the internet for days and haven't been able to find anything. My new parts are due here tomorrow. Thanks for any advice I can get.

Cables are a common fail point, easy to swap out, and don’t take up a lot of room.

A spare rope for the same reasons.

Prop and the pin for the shaft. Same as above.
