    Ultrex fit issue

I currently have a Fortrex 45" and want to go to a Ultrex 52". I know everything should fit and bolt right in place, will the extra length all be inside the boat or will there be any additional length outside the gunnel? If anything it would be the head extending beyond the gunnel and not at the prop? Just trying not to have to modify the cover. As I understand the complete Ultrex unit needs changed and you can't reuse the base. Boat is a Falcon F215. Thx

The extra length will be at the back end once it’s stowed, motor will be in the same place. How much is over the gunnel depends on the angle yours is mounted.

As stated above the extra length is out back. You may or may not be able to use the the original mounting holes as you might need to change the angle of the trolling motor to fit in your gunnel.

Was the Fortrex 45 too short for your boat? I'm replacing a Fortrex 80/45 with an Ultrex 80/45. My boat is an '04 Skeeter SX190, 18.5'. It's first TM was a Maxxum 42", now the Fortrex 45", so probably 45" is correct for the Ultrex. A 52" would pretty severely hang over my gunnel, or else block my port rod locker from opening. If your boat is a 21, a 52" might be appropriate.
