When I visit Texas, I avoid any restaurant that is supposed to be Mexican. Always some Tex/Mex variant. Tex/Mex is just wrong.

A Good Aged piece of Meat at one of the little known Downtown Chicago Steak Houses with Family or even some close Buddies > . Any Taylor Street Italian eatery(fancy or grocery store with a few tables in the Back) is hard to beat.. to Big E who would invite me to many Hidden Gems in the Old Neighborhood.

I’ve been trying to think of a regional favorite, but all I can come up with is Islay’s Chip Chop ham. It’s a deli meat that’s probably made from lips and snouts, but it’s darn good. I didn’t know it was a regional thing until friends moved out of state and can’t get it. Apparently, it’s a Cleveland/Pittsburgh thing.

Fresh home made biscuits and syrup. Growing up through hard times that was the closet we ever got to desert and boy was it good.

I'm doing the same Jeff just can't come up with any one thing but do agree Islay's is good stuff.

Funny how all the Oklahoma guys named Chicken Fried Steak. Here's a good one from Libby's Cafe in Goldsby OK.

Steaks any cut, when you grow up in the beef state you are not even aware that there are other animals to eat.

I would say my area is known for the Chicago style hot dog --- though I am not a fan of hot dogs and I do put ketchup on hot dogs.
Other than that I cannot think of a "regional" food.
