New Software Update for Plus and Ultra units.........

Looks like they posted a new software version for the Echomap Plus and Ultra units.

Dont look like a whole lot:

Changes made from version 8.30 to 9.20:
Add support for Garmin Trolling Motor.
Add control for displaying Federal Mineral Lease Block chart layer.
Add ability to store Hull Identification Number (HIN).
Add sonar magnify controls.
Made various improvements to map drawing.
Fix issue where a unit would power on randomly when connected to another unit. Power modes now sync between units.
Fix issue where depth range shading did not conform to contour lines.

I think that based on the pdf posted by @jmcelmury (https://www8.garmin.com/marine/PDF/m...are_update.pdf) that the sonar magnify controls means the pinch to zoom feature. That seems like it would be pretty sweet. I played with that on a Solix at my local Cabela's and I think that was a pretty useful feature. One of these days I will upgrade to an Ultra.

Pinch zoom should be cool to use......What exactly is th HIN?? Would that be your boat hull number??

Yes, Hull Identification Number.

No i have not....did the updates a few days ago....hopefully i can get out this weekend....

I updated, hopefully get out tomorrow to do some real tests but just sitting in the garage, the maps seem quicker and the overall performance seems quicker, more refined maybe? The pinch zoom is confusing me though. I could always punch to increase the depth view, is the new pinch zoom to actually zoom in like it does on maps?
