    Electronics Rigging

Need to swap out a transom transducer on a 13 920.

What is the best way to carry the wire from the dash to transom?

How would you carry the wire for a thru hull?

Use a electrical snake that electricians use to fish wires. That's what I use and I have never had an issue.

Thats the plan, but what is the best path? Down driver's side? I noticed my thru hull is coming between the livewells

My wiring was ran on the side to the console. What i did was use the fiberglass sticks. Removed the light socket on back rear, taped cable end to stick and then pushed it thru to the console. Did several wires and a few transducer like that with no issues.

I like that idea, currently my transducers are running out of of the rubrail cap, probably will go from there to the light hole. Where do the wires dump out at the console do you have to pull the shifter assembly away?

When you open the console up you will see a hole on the right side towards the back........all the wires come out there......i have pulled the shifter assembly out when i couldnt get something all the way to console but only did it if i had to. What I'll do is make a dry run with the fiberglass sticks to see where i can/cant push the wires and that give me an idea how.....

Here is a pic i had taken when running wires a while back.

Always pull a string in along with your wire and leave it. Next time you have something ready to use.

Sticks are the best way to go for sure. I tried doing it with string that I had tied to my old wires but when you get in a bind its hard to pull it on threw with that string. With the fiberglass rods you can push instead of pull. Saves you some pains.
