    Question 92 Bullet 20 XRD MAX Hp size

    Hey guys looking at a pretty nice 92 Bullet 20XRD hull for sale. What's the max HP/weight motor you can put on one of these hulls? I have heard a 2.5 is as big as you can safely hang on the transom of this model year 20XRD. I'd like to find a 250 or 300xs to hang on the transom if I buy it. Boat is in great condition.

    I am pretty sure Bullet changed the transom around 1996 to accommodate the heavier motors. Not sure you should hang the 3.0 / 3.2 liter motors on the older Bullets. Some of the experts will be along shortly.

    Thanks guys Tom said it would be best to stick with a 2.5. Bullet strengthened the transoms to hold bigger motors in 1996.

    If its the same bullet I'm thinking of, its beautiful. Red and Black? If so, you don't need that boat haha. I've thought about taking a look at it myself. Is it in Alabama?

    Put a nice promax on there and be done. Or a 2.5 efi if youre into that
