    What would you do

Ordered a new rod off TW and there is slight bend to the right in the last 6 inches of the blank. Not terrible but I noticed it as soon as I looked down the rod. $150 rod if that matters

I feel its going to be more of a head ache shipping this giant tube back than its worth. What would you do ?????? My OCD about rods is killing me

Cast it. If you feel like it impacts the line flow, I think TW has a pretty easy and friendly return policy. If you feel like it's going to alter your confidence in it - return it.

Chances are it's absolutely fine. There are very few 100% straight rods out there.

For $150 you could have one that you could inspect first for straightness and built down the road from you in Aiken instead of (I'm guessing here) one that was imported 100%. Sorry had to poke!

I would love to use some local rods just not a fan of cork handles ...

I would have to return it for exchange. I would call the company I ordered from and ask that the replacement rod be inspected Pryor to shipment. Good luck.

I would return it too. May not make a difference, but it would bother me every time I picked it up.

I'm sure TW would have no issues exchanging it.

This. I always request they inspect the rod , head to toe , before it's shipped.
Ocd also gets the best of me when it comes to rods and reels.
So many of these Chinese rods are not straight or the guides are not straight.
You would think if more ppl would return these defected rods the companies would tighten up quality control.

    $150
Send it back. No question. You'll end up NOT using it and wish you had.
Knock on wood, this has never happened to me. I did order a Dobyns 742 spinning rod from Amazon and they delivered it in a flimsy cardboard box and it was in two pieces. Don't know if I've ever been so mad. Don't know who it was, but I ripped somebody. If you ever order on Amazon, I'd make sure the vendor was a company that specializes in tackle.

TW return policy and customer service is very seemless. There should already be a return label with the order. Follow the instructions on the back of your jnvoice and your good to go! 1-3 weeks and your refund will hit your card. Dan

Itís free to return. Put it back in the same tube it came in. Stick the return label they sent you on it the tube and drop it off at ups store. 15 minutes of trouble.
