    Ox66 shaved heads

I am putting my ox66 back together. I am wanting to get heads shaved. My question is how much to get them shaved and what can I expect performance wise with them shaved?

.060" should put you at 135-140 psi cranking. 2-3 mph increase is common.

What does 91 octane have to do with it

Higher compression could cause detonation with 85 or 87 octane. 91 or 93 would be better.

Same reason certain car engines require premium fuel.

I got them cut today. I got .040 cut off them. Is there a thicker head gasket I need to use and if so where would I get it

A thicker gasket would negate having the heads milled. Why only .040"?
