Mead and Mohave over the weekend

Fished out of South cove saturday. Water was 77 to 81 degrees. We could not find a early topwater bite but did end up catching around 25 fish. We didn't get anything over 2 pounds but caught most on a spinner bait. The ned rig and then a small whopper plopper caught a few against the bluffs and shadows around noon. Lake Mohave on sunday and managed a few on deep cranks fishing the 20 to 21 foot flats along the drop off edge, We didn't get ant early top water action here either.

Mohave has been getting better and better. Seems there are some really good smallmouth coming out of there. Haven't fished it in a while. Just starting to get over our brutal summer.

My buddy was up in south cove last week and they caught a bunch on top water all day. I am busy hunting now and it will be a stretch before I get back on the water.
