I place the new prop in place with the current thrust washer instead of the new one but there is a lot of play. So I put it on with both. No play but it looks like the phot above. I only dry fitted the parts. I did not torque anything down.

Nope... Either you have the wrong thrust washer for your prop shaft, Put the thrust washer on backwards, or you didnt take off the other thrust washer first.

You must use the thrust washer that came with the kit.

Using only the thrust washer there is too much play in the prop. I think I have this solved but none of the instructions that came with the kit picture or refer this part. Put its the only logical solution. This look correct?

The big brass washer under the nut don't look right. But what about the side veiw? Spin the prop and make sure it's free spinning.

Prop turns free. Castle nut lines up nice At 54 foot pounds. That brass washer is splined and covers the end of the splines sticking out.

Every time I see one of these posts I get confused again. I have the VF250LA. I used the 8M0075402 kit, not the one Rick used ( 8M0119081). Prop thumbnail.jpg
But I have the Bravo 1 FS so would that be the difference in hub kit. Or did I use the wrong one as usual. Pic shows just using the hub kit but not torqued down yet. I sure don't want to run it if it wrong.
