1996 mercury efi 200 shut off while on plane

1996 200 EFI
serial 0G350086

motor shut off while running on plane.
No overheat, impeller pumping water
engine is premix
fuel pump replace little over a year ago

primper bulb doesnt stay firm

motor will start and idle for a few minutes and then dies. Acts like its not getting fuel

Could this have caused any damage to the engine?

I had replaced the fuel line with the ethanol line but evidently the line will still go bad after a time. Check the line from the tank to the motor and see if the lining is separating.
