Humminbird 360 different reading on two linked units

I just got my 360 back. Warranty replacement.

It seems to be reading proper to my console Helix 10 Mega SI but my 10 Chirp at the bow is black or fuzzy and not getting the same proper image as the back.

Any suggestions?

I swapped them and the 360 now works on both with clear image. What does this mean? I can’t graph around with the chirp at the back so need to figure something out. Thanks

Display the Voltage on both and see what each connection gives you at both locations with both units.

Wayne P- The voltage is 12.3 V on each unit. Anything else you would suggest to check?

Another thing I noticed. This new 360 makes a louder light thunking noice than any others. When I press stop 360 ping I hear it stop and it almost squeaks like a horn. Is this normal?

Any thoughts on the different display on two units? If I put my Mega SI at the bow it reads my 360 properly but with the CHIRP at the bow it is bright yellow fuzzy and improper image.

What does the bow unit do when the 360 is connected directly to it without the Ethernet Switch?

connected directly on the lake lake right now and the 360 is not working with my CHIRP unit at bow with no Ethernet switch. It’s mostly showing black on screen with some faint lines.

I’ll try the Mega direct now

works great when hooked direct to the Gen 3 Mega SI.

I think this means the issue is with my CHIRP unit itself.

Interference at the bow? Perhaps from your console unit? Or from your TM?

So after discussions with H-Bird I did a “reset defaults” on both units and everything is back to normal.

i was having issues with my MSI unit and this fixed that too. Really wish I knew this before my last tournament but hopefully this helps someone in the future.

My 360 pod had unscrewed from the shaft some, I re-secured it w/ red loctite and good to go
